Media Center

Welcome to the Westside Elementary School Media Center! I am Kristen Warren, the Media Specialist, and working alongside me in this amazing space is our Media Clerk, Mrs. Jill Cleghorn.

Our main goal is to keep our readers coming back for more! As a school librarian, my job is not to be the keeper of the books, but instead, the keeper of the readers. We want to inspire students with new stories and amazing adventures, ensuring they visit our space with a growing desire to read. We envision an engaging, resourceful library program that promotes a love for reading and learning for all students, staff, and community members.

We view our Media Center as the hub of our school—a place where students, staff, families, and the community can meet, learn, and collaborate. Our mission is to provide an environment that cultivates student learning and staff readiness by promoting meaningful experiences in both literature and digital literacy.
